Multiplier Event in Poland

On December 2, 2020, at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Sciences and Humanities in Siedlce, a Forum meeting on Digital Accessibility was held online. It was organized as a part of the Erasmus+ Certified Digital Accessibility Training Project. The event was attended by representatives of the public entities, companies, teachers of various levels of education (including VET teachers), students, and University employees.

The main goal of the Forum, organized by the Project group from the University of Natural Sciences and Humanities in Siedlce and Centrum Horyzonty, was to present issues related to accessibility. The focus was especially on digital accessibility, the assumptions and results of the Certified Digital Accessibility Training Project, including a summary of the Pilot workshop for Digital Accessibility Testers which was conducted at the turn of May and June this year. The participants of the workshop were awarded recognitions, which serve as proof of their newly acquired skills.

Later during the meeting, the speakers discussed the standards of accessibility, the adaptation of the Main Library of the University of Natural Sciences in Siedlce to the needs of people with disabilities, IT tools for teaching mathematics to the visually impaired and blind, and implementing the principles of digital accessibility at universities.
