The Web Accessibility Directive dates back to the year 2016 when the European Union decided to provide people with disabilities with accessible websites and mobile applications of public services. The Directive set the 23rd of September 2020 as the date by which all public-sector websites across the European Union should be digitally accessible for everyone.
To mark this occasion, the European Disability Forum and the European Commission are organizing a virtual discussion on the same day. On their behalf, we are inviting you to join the discussion! The event will undoubtedly be a rich experience for everyone who wants to learn about digital accessibility and will be especially useful for public bodies as the Directive is mandatory for them.
